I've been using deodorant since I hit puberty. I was always told that my body odor was offensive and I should always attempt to smell nice. I don't mind that mind-set but that left me with caking on deodorant everyday. Do you know what's in deodorant? Most commercial deodorants contain things from carcinogens to immuno-toxins. So I wanted something that makes me less smelly, is vegan, and didn't have any harmful effects on my body.
I discovered Schmidt's Bergamot + Lime Deodorant while wandering in the beauty section at my local Winner's and as so excited to try a vegan deodorant that I bought 2!

The smell is amazing and my favorite of the options available at Winner's. The deodorant comes in two versions, the conventional stick, and the one I bought, the pot. The little jar comes with a scoop to get out the product, you rub it between your fingers and apply to your underarm. That part was a little daunting for me at first but after a while it became a habit.
The product overall is amazing, it has a 3 rating on ThinkDirty, it smells so good, it last's long, and its completely vegan.
The only downside for me was that I have sensitive skin, so after 3 months of using it, my underarms were dry, red, and itchy! Luckily for me, I contacted the company and they do have a sensitive skin formula - which unfortunately doesn't come in my favorite scent - which I will try. Other's have stated the same and many believe it has to do with the baking soda in the deodorant.
I have switched from this brand for the time being but I am definitely going to order their sensitive formula to try next.
